Background: Marc's reputation as an elite soccer player has been well documented. He lead his high school team to an OFSAA Provincial Championship in 1999 (which he was awarded MVP). He is a 4 time All Ontario University All Star (representing Carleton University). In 2003 he was named to the All National Team. He still holds the record as the all-time leading goal scorer in Carleton University History with 46 goals in 49 games. He is a National University Championship Silver Medal Winner, a Premier Ontario Cup Winner with the Ottawa Royals, and a National Premier Championship Silver Medal Winner (also with the Ottawa Royals).

For the last few years he's been forced to the sidelines with a heart ailment, but he hopes to return as a player—where he belongs—very shortly! Marc has returned to action on the field.

Marc is infamously known as the guy who throws his pen and notepad to the ground in frustration when his players under-perform, or if the referee makes a questionable call... and so on.

Walter brings a wealth of experience to the Ukraina team, his tough tackling and ageless fitness is something nobody has ever seen. can use either foot well, plays a simple effective defending game with strong arial ability. Walter can outdrink anyone on the face of the earth, and is ALWAYS first to the pub and last to leave.

Background: Alex "AZ" Zaslavsky, is a top striker for Ukraina. He is a master at holding the ball up, and is legendary for Ukraina scoring the 3 most important goals in the Clubs history - Opener against Ottawa United Juventus, Only goal in the semi final of the Money tournament against Soca, and the opener in the final of the money tournament. AZ is best known for showing up, scoring a few goals, having a few pints, then coming back a few weeks and a few games later and repeating.

Will be a great asset for the summer season as the team builds and get stronger. Andriy is best known for showing up to play in the tournament with staples in his head after a "bar accident"

Background: Mike "Hersey" Herasimenko, is Ukraina's hard man. His big stature intimidates opponents, as well as team members. His experience, leadership and arial ability are unrivaled, and Ukraina are a different team when he is in the lineup. Best known for his massive headers, and his ability to scare the crap out of anyone. And the best line to a referee, "if I had my fingerprint dust, his prints would be all over my back".

Background: "Poddy" is an intense one gear type player - its always 150% work rate and desire when on the pitch.  He has a great knowledge of the game which shows in his play and positioning. Poddy has what it takes to be a great coach in the game, which can only benefit Ukraina. He is a good finisher, and is very composed when he scores. He supports Celtic and Arsenal, the 2 worst teams in soccer.

Background: Eric "Cross Shot" Lapointe-Denysewych, is the brother of coach/founder Marc Lapointe. He signed with the team having only played soccer as a kid, but has become a brilliant great right defender and a very big asset to Ukraina. He plays a very simple game, listening to players around him, and is always aware of what to do. His fitness is an asset, and is best known for his cross shot goal in Carleton Place to win us the game 1-0!

Lukey is best known for ALWAYS spilling his drinks when we are out, and its not limited to spilling on himself, he usually brings others into play.

Background: Bryce "Breece" Motiuk, is one of Ukraina's youngest players. His enthusiasm and skill are great for Ukraina, as he will be a regular goal scorer for the Club for many many years. He can hold the ball up, and turn defenders very well. He has a knack for finding the back of the net with some great finishing. Bryce is known for changing out of his gear and on his way home before the lads take their boots off.

Roman is best known for sense of humour, laughing at the ridiculous nicknames that come out of the coach's mouth!

Scotty is also a member of the Canadian Military National Team, and when Ukraina have him in the lineup, he is guaranteed to score us a goal and the confidence of the rest of the boys is raised. Scotty is best known for his post game cigarette before his cleats are even taken off.
