Result: 4 - 1 Win
Game Summary: Ukraina were playing their opening game tonight, with no less then 4 new signings in the team and one sort of new, Marc Lapointe- Denysewych back from his 4 year stint on the linelines due to a heart issue was back in the first team. Steve Sabadoz, Sergey Minko, Nic Jurchuk and Boris Ignachkov all made their Ukraina debuts and were brilliant. Ukraina got things going early when Nate Lafosse struck to give Ukraina the lead 8 minutes into the game. In the 23rd minute right before half time Danilo Popowych made a great run down the left passing it in front to Sergey Minko who finished the second goal for Ukraina who went into halftime with a 2-0 lead. Early in the second half, Ukraina gave a goal away on a corner kick and it was back to a tight game 2-1. with 12 minutes to go, Ukraina were pressuring, and the ball spilled out to the top of the box where defender Marc Lapointe- Denysewych pinched in and finished well into the bottom corner to make it 3-1. All was good in the end, as Captain Alex Zaslavsky rounded out the scoring and sealed the win with his first of the season. Boris Ignachkov was outstanding in goal.

Result: 5 - 3 Win
Game Summary: Ukraina played in a late game this week, against a team that was in the final 4 last season. It was a big first half by Ukraina, with Scott Makischuk getting things going to put Ukraina up 1-0 before Sergey Kovalenkov got one to put us up 2-0. New keeper, Boris Ignachkov in his second appearance for Ukraina, stepped up big to save a penalty in the first half to keep Ukraina firmly in control. Alex Zaslavsky then finished a good goal to make it 3-0 at half for Ukraina. Early in the second half, Scott Makischuk scored a cannon of a shot to make it 4-0 Ukraina. Then the foot came off the gas and the opposition started to get back into the game scoring 2 quick goals making it 4-2 Ukraina. Alex Zaslavsky scored again with a volley to make it 5-2 before the opposition struck again to make it 5-3. Then, the opposition were awarded another penalty shot and Boris Ignachkov once again came to the rescue of Ukraina with a big save to keep the score out of reach for the opposition.

Result: 8 - 2 Win
Game Summary: Ukraina played a very solid first half today, starting the game quickly with Danilo Popowych scoring in the first 30 seconds of the game. That was quickly followed up by Nate Lafosse's good finish to go up 2-0. Luke Makischuk was next firing home a long range shot before Alex Zaslavsky got his goal off a corner to make it 4-0. Stephen Sabadoz got the next one, his first in his Ukraina career right before halftime to make it 5-0 and Danilo Popowych blasted home a penalty to make it 6-0 at Halftime. The second half came about and the opposition struck first before Scotty Makischuk scored his goal to make it 7-1. The Opposition struck again but Nate Lafosse was on hand to finish a great goal off a corner to make it 8-2 Final for Ukraina. Boris Ignachkov was very solid in goal.

Game Summary: Ukraina played against an underrated very tough team today. Ukraina went down 1-0 before Alex Zaslavsky got Ukraina back in the game. Ukraina went up 2-1 on a goal by Nate Lafosse but things were evened up again. Boris Ignachkov kept Ukraina in the game, and Scott Makischuk put Ukraina ahead and Nate Lafosse scored his second to give Ukraina a 4-3 victory in a hard fought game. Boris Ignachkov played a super game in goal.

Result: 6 - 5 Win
Game Summary: Ukraina once again escaped a game with a win that they might have lost. The game started well with a goal from Alex Zaslavsky, but the oppostion scored 2 quick goals to go ahead before Nate Lafosse scored to tie the game at 2-2. But then the opposition opened up and scored 3 straight goals to put Ukraina down 5-2 at Halftime. The resilience of the team kicked in, and Sergey Kovalenkov scored early before he added another to make it 5-4. With little time left of the clock, Sergey Minko scored to tie the game at 5, and with literally the last kick of the game Nate Lafosse scored to earn Ukraina the victory. Boris Ignachkov made some incredible saves to keep Ukraina alive in this match.

Game Summary: Ukraina played against a good team today, and despite the score played a very good game, and were very unlucky in defeat. Ukraina outchanced the opposition by a ton, but some bad bounces and some fortunate saves by the opposition keeper kept Ukraina in check as they suffered their first loss of the season. Danilo Popowych got the only goal in the second half to make it 1-1, but Ukraina gave up a goal with 4 minutes left and couldn't find the equalizer. Boris Ignachkov played well in goal.

Game Summary: Ukraina were a bit short handed today as 5 players were missing due to holiday reasons, but did come out on top again to bounce back from their first loss last week. Morgan Kenny got things going scoring the first 2 goals for Ukraina in the forst 10 minutes of the game. The opposition got one back to make it 2-1, before Alex Zaslavsky scored a penalty for Ukraina to make it 3-1 at half. In the second half things were much the same, with Ukraina having most of the play and the opposition scored early to make it 3-2, before Sergey Minko scored to make it 4-2 Ukraina. Morgan Kenny sealed the game to make it 5-2 before Ukraina conceded late to make it 5-3. Boris Ignachkov played well in goal.

Game Summary: Ukraina played a very solid game today dominating possession and never in danger of this result. Scott Makischuk got things going with a quick shot early in the first half to go up 1-0. Igor Pletchtenko got the second from the penalty spot not to far after the opening goal. Early in the second half the opposition scored to make it 2-1, but Ukraina were too strong on the afternoon when Nic Jurchuk scored to make it 3-1, then again 8 minutes from the end to kill the game off. Boris Ignachkov played very well in goal.

Game Summary: Ottawa Ukraina played a good game today, winning a very comfortable game. Scott Makischuk got things going early in the game, before Nic Jurchuk scored 2 quick goals in the first half to make it 3-0 at halftime. Ukraina gave up a goal early in the second half, before Andrew Panchuk scored to make it 4-1. Scott Makischuk was on hand once again to fire home a 5th goal for Ukraina before the opposition scored to make it 5-2. Marc Lapointe-Denysewych got a late goal to make it 6-2 Ukraina. Boris Ignachkov played well in goal.

Game Summary: Ukraina played a very good team today - have a poor first half but coming on strong in the second half. Ukraina went down 2-0, before Nic Jurchuk struck deflected by Sergey Kovalenkov to make it 2-1. Steve Sabadoz was on hand to follow up a rebound nicely to finish home Ukraina's second to tie it up. In the second half Ukraina once again went down but with 10 mins to go Igor Pletchtchenko hammered home a shot to tie the game at 3. Both teams had chances to win it, but niether could find the net. Boris Ignachkov played well in goal.

Result: 3 - 1 Win
Game Summary: Ukraina were taking on a team that were a perfect 10-0 on the season. Ukraina came to play. Despite having 4 players out with injuries, Ukraina stepped up big time and came away with a big win. Luke Makischuk got things going early in the game with a great strike to make it 1-0. The opposition hit us back 5 minutes later off a corner. Halftime was 1-1. In the second half it was a spirited affair, with Ukraina hitting a few crossbars, and the opposition having a few chances, but it was Ukraina who got the second goal. Steve Sabadoz did a great turn and hammered home a shot to make it 2-1 Ukraina. The final nail in the coffin was with 8 minutes to go, Scotty Makischuk, Alex Zaslavsky and Sergey Minko combined brilliantly for Minko to finish home Ukraina's third goal. Boris Ignachkov was great in goal.

Result: 10 - 3 Win
Game Summary: Ukraina today, were an inspired team that put together a great match to see off a very top quality team. Ukraina won in emphatic style, starting with a goal from Scott Makischuk. The opposition tied the game up not far after, but Nic Jurchuk was on hand to give Ukraina the lead again. Scott Makischuk was then inspired, and scored 2 more quick goals to give Ukraina a 4-1 lead. Alex Zaslavsky was next to pot one home for Ukraina to make it 5-1, before the opposition scored to make it 5-2 at halftime. The second half was like the first, with Ukraina dominating and Scotty Makischuk bagged his 4th goal of the game to give Ukraina a 6-2 lead, before the opposition nipped a goal in. That didn't stop Ukraina from pouring forward and Sergey Minko was next to put one away before Igor Pletchtenko hammered home a free kick to make it 8-3 Ukraina. Sergey Kovalenkov was next to bag his 100th goal of his career with a textbook toepoke into the top corner. Mike Herasimenko was next to hit home a long range effort to round out the scoring. Boris Ignachkov played super in goal.

Game Summary: Ukraina played against a team in the bottom half of the table today - and it showed. Ukraina were a different class and put the game away very early. Goals scorers were Sergey Kovalenkov with 3, Sergey Minko with 4, Scotty Makischuk 3, Nic Jurchuk 2, and Igor Pletchenko and Vince Didkovsky with 1. Boris Ignatchkov and Scotty Makischuk shared the duty in goal.

Game Summary: Ukraina had its poorest game of the season today - losing to one of the bottom teams. At the end of the day Ukraina were completely outworked, couldn't do the simple things right. It was a definate poor showing, but something to learn from and build on for the important last game of the season and playoffs! Sergey Minko scored and Alex Zaslavsky scored. Boris Ignachkov played in goal.

Game Summary: Ukraina played a battle today, unfortunately losing a heartbreak game. Ukraina went 1-0 down, before Nate Lafosse tied things up. Ukraina went 2-1 down again, but Igor Pletchenko scored to make it 2-2. Ukraina went 3-2 down again , but Nate Lafosse scored a great goal to make it 3-3 before Morgan Kenny right on halftime scored a good goal to give Ukraina a 4-3 lead. The second half was a different story as Ukraina missed a boat load of chances, and ended up giving up 2 goals in the end. Boris Ignachkov played well in goal.
