Game Summary: Ukraina lost their opening game, we can chalk that up to a bit of bad luck missing 4 big players but the guys played great and could easily have won the game should chances have been finished. Ukraina went down 2-0, before Yuriy Derkach put one away. Ukraina had their chances, and a lot of pressure, but the opposition were on tonight and took their chances and buried them. Walter Usyk played well in goal deputizing for the injured Andriy Popowych.

Result: 7 - 3 Win
Game Summary: Ukraina started a bit slow, they did go ahead in the game 1-0, but the opposition did get one back to make it 1-1. But Ukraina on this day were just too strong, and won this game handily and passing the ball around well and finishing their chances. Goals were scored by Arsen Gritsenko with 2, Bryce Motiuk 2, Matty Kenny 1, Jon Udell 1, and Andriy Panchuk 1. Andrew Popowych made his return in goal after knee surgery, and played well.

Result: 3 - 2 Win
Game Summary: This was one of the matches of the season as Ukraina played top ranked Wanderers. Ukraina did not play badly in the first half, but spurned chances and unlucky bounces were rampant and Ukraina found themselves 2-0 down at halftime. The boys rallied, and midway through the second half Bryce Motiuk finished a great goal to make it 2-1. With 10 minutes remaining, Ukraina earned a penalty which Arsen Gritsenko powered home to tie the game up. The game was tight after this, with each team hitting a crossbar, but it was Ukraina who were most resiliant when Arsen Gritsenko smashed home the winner with 3 minutes left on the clock. This was a very spirited victory by Ukraina. Andriy Popowych had a solid game in goal.

Game Summary: Ukraina, after a brilliant performance last week got humbled today in a game where nothing went right for the lads. Its a learning experience, take the positives away from the game and lets focus on next week. Arsen Gritsenko and Dma Synyk scored for Ukraina.

Result: 5 - 4 Win
Game Summary: Ukraina, what a response. The true test of a team is how you respond after a terrible defeat. And the lads did just that beating the top team in the league tonight 5-4. Ukraina got things going with a Bryce Motiuk goal, before Eric Lapointe - Denysewych added another. The Oppostion scored to make it 2-1, before Scott Makischuk made it 3-1. The Opposition were keeping it close to make it 3-2, but Andriy Panchuk, playing with a broken wrist in a full cast scored 2 straight goals to make it 5-2 Ukraina. The boys held the lead to 5-4, winning a massive game. What a great response from a great Team who deserved the good result tonight. Andriy Popowych was in goal and lead with his experience and played a great game.

Result: 5 - 2 Win
Game Summary: Ukraina played another tough match tonight missing many players through various reasons but it did not affect the game of the boys. It was a bit of a passionless affair, but Ukraina got the job done through our good finishing. Bryce Motiuk got things going with a good turn and finish before Vince Didkovsky's goal make it 2-0 Ukraina. The boys gave one up shortly after, but Scott Makischuk was on hand to bury a goal to make it 3-1 at halftime. The second half started and Ukraina were at it again, Scott Makischuk toe poked a goal home before the opposition replied once again to make it 4-2. Roman Zakaluzny was on hand to finish home off or a corner kick to round out the scoring. Walter Usyk played very well in goal.

Result: 3 - 3 Tie
Game Summary: This was a tale of 2 halves for Ukraina. In the first half, Ukraina were working hard, and playing well, but gave up the first 3 goals to be down 3-0 at halftime. The great characters of the boys came through in the end, showing that they are never down and out as the comeback was on. Jon Udell got things going early in the second half finishing a pass from Eric Lapointe. Next it was Dima Synyak who had a good first time volley beating the keeper at the far post with 13 minutes to go. with 8 minutes left, Eric Lapointe came down the right side and slotted home a great far post shot to tie the game up at 3. A few chances were spurred to win the game outright, but in the end was a good fightback from Ukraina. Andriy Popowych played well in goal.

Game Summary: Ukraina were back on the winning track after the Christmas break. Eric Lapointe got things going with a cool finish early in the first half, before Arsen Gritsenko scored to make it 2-0 Ukraina. Eric Lapointe added another goal before halftime, while the opposition scored just before the break to make it 3-1. The second half was tight, and Ukraina played a solid game to preserve the victory. Morgan Kenny played well in goal.

Result: 4 - 2 Win
Game Summary: Ukraina played a big match against the Polish Club today, and did not dissapoint! Bryce Motiuk got this going with a great turn and finish to make it 1-0 Ukraina. Polonia equilized not to much later, before Bryce Motiuk was on hand again to finish a good passing play. It was 2-1 at halftime, and once again, it was Bryce Motiuk completing his hattrick to make the game 3-1. But the opposition scored again to keep the game tight. The man of the hour Bryce Motiuk stepped up big time and hammered home his fourth goal of the game to seal the game for Ukraina. Boris Ignachkov played in goal for Ukraina.

Game Summary: Ukraina had a big match today against a team right below them in the standings and did not dissapoint. Bryce Motiuk, who is hot scored Ukraina's first 2 goals to go into halftime leading 2-1. Jon Udell scored a great individual goal to put the game out of reach in the second half. Andriy Popowych played well in goal.

Game Summary: Ukraina played a solid game today, with only 2 subs which is very difficult to do! Bryce Motiuk continued his amazing run of form scoring 3 goals, while Andriy Panchuk and Scott Makischuk scored 1 each. This was a tight contest, that went back and forth, but Ukraina pulled out the victory. Walter Usyk played a good game in goal.

Game Summary: Ukraina today played against a foe that seems to always get the better of us! Ukraina played well, battled hard, but a few bounces that didn't go our way cost us in the end. Ukraina clawed their way back from 3-0 down when Walter Usyk scored a good finish. Then 4-1 down, Dimitriy Synyak scored a good finish to get us back into it, but alas it was too little to late. A great effort from the guys who are sure to bounce back from this. Andriy Popowych and Boris Ignachkov shared the game in goal.

Game Summary: Ukraina played a tough game today - and the first half was close up until Jeff Cheliak finished a good right footed shot to give Ukraina a 1-0 lead at halftime. In the second half, it stayed 1-0 for a long while, before John Blahuta's persistence paid off when he finished home his own rebound to make it 2-0. Blahuta was not done there, having a great night, John took a pass and cooly finished home his second of the night and the clincher for Ukraina. Walter Usyk got the shutout for Ukraina in goal.

Result: 8 - 3 Win
Game Summary: Ukraina played a massive game tonight against one of the top teams, and came out very strong and went up 2-0 early on goals by Bryce Motiuk and Jon Udell. The opposition got one back before John Blahuta slotted home to make it 3-1. The opposition again pegged Ukraina back but Alex Zaslavsky was on hand, then Scott Makischuk hit another to make it 5-2 Ukraina. The opposition wouldn't go away and made it 5-3. The rest of the game was solid for Ukraina, with Alex Zaslavsky scoring off a corner before Scott Makischuk hit another. Zaslavsky hammered home the final 8th goal to stamp our authority on the game and give us the comfortable win. Nic Jurchuk played a good game in goal.

Result: 6 - 3 Loss
Game Summary: Ukraina played their last game of the winter season before the start of the playoffs and this game had 1st place implications as they were playing the current 1st place team. A win would have meant 1st place in the standings. It was a tough test againts the top team, and the boys gave it their all but the opposition capitalized on a few of our mistakes to win the game and snatch 1st place from Ukraina. Now Ukraina prepare for their playoff run. Nic Jurchyk played in net

Location: Dome 2
Result: 2 - 1 Loss (Shootout)
Game Summary: Ukraina played their semi-final game against a stron Polish team. The game did not start well for Ukraina and they were on their heels. Finally with all the pressure Ukraina gave up a goal and went down 1-0. The few chnaces that were had by Ukraina were not rewarded with a goal. The first half ended 1-0 for the opposition. The second half started a little better and Ukraina had their chances but could not score. Finally Luke Makischuk scored a good goal to make it 1-1. That is how the game ended and went into penalty shootout. Nic Jurchyk had to step up for the penalty kicks. But this was not to be the night for Ukraina as they lost in penalties and ended their season. Nic Jurchyk played in net and was strong in shootout.
