| Location: Collesium - Dome 1 |
| Result: 5 - 3 Loss |
| Game Summary:
Ukraina again were not at their best today. It is safe to say the boys are in a little bit of a slump, but I am
confident we can overcome our problems. We started poorly once again going down 3-0 before Yuriy Derkach scored
one for Ukraina. Then going down 4-1 Danilo scored a free kick. Now 5-2 down, Ben Makuch scored for Ukraina but
it was too little too late. Morgan played in goal for Ukraina.

| League Game Ottawa Ukraina vs. Ottawa Royals January 7th, 2007 @ 7pm |
| Location: Collesium - Dome 1 |
| Result: 2 - 2 Tie |
| Game Summary:
Ukraina played well today, although a few mistakes cost us the win. We worked very hard, went up 1-0 very early on
as Yuriy Derkach scored a nice goal. Yuriy is in great form the last couple of weeks. Ottawa Royals then tied it
up 1-1. Royals went up 2-1 and for the rest of the game, Ukraina were pressing for the tie and missing chance after
chance. Sergey Kovalenkov finally equalized for Ukraina to make it 2-2, and if there was just a bit more time
Ukraina would have run away with this game but the Royals hung on for the tie. Morgan Kenny played in goal.

| League Game Ottawa Ukraina vs. Wednesday January 14th, 2007 @ 8pm |
| Location: Collesium - Dome 1 |
| Result: 4 - 2 Loss |
| Game Summary:
Ukraina were dreadful today, losing to the last place team. Ukraina find themselves in terrible form at the moment,
and must look to dig deep in the next few weeks to grind out results and start putting points on the board.
Ukraina came out fast going up 2-0 on goals from Matty Kenny and Yuriy Derkach, but after that fell apart.
Marc Lapointe was given his second red card of the year and sent away from the bench in the second half.
Its frustrating times for Ukraina.

Ukraina were not terrible today, they worked hard and showed some flashes of decent soccer. But the individual mistakes,
along with some poor marking (not to mention a Malanka the night before) cost us the game. Ukraina went down 4-0 in the
first half. Danilo Popowych pulled one back, then Ben Makuch scored to make it 5-2. Danilo scored his second of the
game to make it 5-3, before Ottawa White killed the game off and Ben Makuch added a late goal to make it 8-4.

| League Game Ottawa Ukraina vs. Centro Abruzzesse February 11th, 2007 @ 8pm |
| Location: Collesium - Dome 1 |
| Result: 2 - 2 Tie |
| Game Summary:
Ukraina were absolutely brilliant today as they totally outworked a top team in the league. Ukraina went down 1-0
on a mistake from the referee awarding a throw in to them when it was cleary ours, and there was a bit of confusion
which lead to poor marking and we went down 1-0. Ukraina worked extremely hard, battled for every single ball, and
were awarded a penalty when Andriy Panchuk was fouled in the box. Sergey Kovalenkov confidently stepped up and buried
it to make it 1-1. Ukraina were winning every ball, working hard, but the hard luck was on us again when we gave up
another goal to go 2-1 down. We not only did not fold, we picked our game up and worked even harder, just missing
chance after chance after chance. But then, Jonny Udell, who had a fantastic game, slotted home a great finish to
even things up at 2. Ukraina had a few chances to win the game, but their keeper was lucky to stop our chances.
Morgan Kenny played a fantastic game in goal.
|
| League Game Ottawa Ukraina vs. The Black Cats February 18th, 2007 @ 11pm |
| Location: Collesium - Dome 1 |
| Result: 1 - 1 Tie |
| Game Summary:
Ukraina played a very tough team again this week, and once again were brilliant. Ukraina were full of passion, and
hard work and worked from the opening whistle. Ukraina went up 1-0 close to half time after Andriy Panchuk was brought
down in the box and Sergey stepped up confidently and scored the penalty shot. Ukraina then defended extremely well,
and counter attacked well, but couldn't finish our chances. The black cats missed a few chances to equalize, and
Ukraina were not letting up their hard work. Mid way through the second half The Black Cats were fortunate to
capatalize on a high ball into the box where it deflected off a head and squeaked into our goal to make it 1-1.
Ukraina had their chances to win it, and once again the refereeing was horrible, with avid Ukraina supporter Catt
Kerridge sent away from the field, and Coach Marc Lapointe - Denysewych and Captain Walter Usyk both being red
carded and sent away from the field. Ukraina held it together the last 5 minutes and got the tie.
Scotty Makischuk, Ukraina's all time leading goal scorer is awaiting surgery on his knee, and has been out for
2 months already, laced up the boots and played in the game. He worked hard and did what he could for the team!
Morgan Kenny played brilliant in goal once again.
|

| League Game Ottawa Ukraina vs. Red Star 1 March 4th, 2007 @ 9pm |
| Location: Collesium - Dome 1 |
| Result: 5 - 3 Loss |
| Game Summary:
Ukraina were completely not up for this game, and totally unprepared physically and mentally. Complacency had fallen
over the majority of the team and it showed. Ukraina went down 3-0 in the first half. We did show some fight Sergey
hammered home a goal to make it 3-1. Then some great work by Yuriy Derkach set up Luke Makischuk to scored to make
it 3-2 at halftime. Ukraina came out hard in the second half, when Alex Zaslavsky jumped well and headed home to even
things up at 3. Then the lack of preparation took over, and we gave up 2 goals and were dead and buried. A positive
from the game is that Chris Arnone is back with the squad, and had a very solid game. Morgan Kenny played well in goal.
|
| League Game Ottawa Ukraina vs. Ottawa Royals March 11th, 2007 @ 11pm |
| Location: Collesium - Dome 1 |
| Result: 4 - 1 Loss |
| Game Summary:
Ukraina were not good today, as it seems the late kickoff, and knowledge that the playoffs are out of our reach played
into the heads and the result was a terrible performance. Ukraina went down early, Alex Zaslavsky scored a good goal to
claw our way back, but there was just too little effort as Ukraina fell 4-1. Morgan Kenny kept us in the game with some
great saves.
