Ukraina started the new season a little slow, adjusting to the new bigger playing surface 9 versus 9 as opposed to the regular indoor pitch which is 7 versus 7. Ukraina went down 1-0 early on but equalized soon after on a great header off of a corner by Mike Herasimenko. Igor Plechtchenko gave Ukraina the lead and Sergey Kovalenkov added another before the opposition pulled one back to make it 3-2. Ukraina then buried another one, Alex Zaslavsky marking his return to the team with a header from a cross to make it 4-2. The second half started brightly for Ukraina with Chris Arnone scoring a good left foot finish early on before Bryce Motiuk scoring his first of the night to make it 6-2. Bryce Motiuk added his second soon after before Igor Plechtchenko added his second to make it 8-2. Bryce Motiuk completed his hattrick scoring late in the game to make it 9-2. Morgan Kenny played well in goal.

Man Of The Match - Bryce Motiuk - He was finishing his chances and was using great skill in the middle of the pitch creating space for himself.

Ukraina were well prepared for this game in the newly formed 9 V 9 league and started the game fairly well. It took a bit of time for us to get off the mark, but Morgan Kenny sent a great cross into the box for Luke Makischuk to head home to make it 1-0. Graeme Webber was on hand to finish Ukraina's second goal before Sergey Kovalenkov scored off a corner kick to make it 3-0. The opposition pulled one back early in the second half, but Ukraina were too strong on the day. Alex Zaslavsky scored off a header to make it 4-1. And then it was Igor Pletchtenko's turn to hammer home a 30 yard bullet before adding his second on a breakaway to make it 6-1. Andriy Popowych played well in goal making a fantastic save along the way.

Man Of The Match - Morgan Kenny - Morgan ran up and down the wing very well, making nice passes and communication well with his teammates.

Ukraina played quite well today, but the game ended up being quite close. Ukraina scored first with Alex Zaslvasky scoring off a great pass from Luke Makischuk. Ukraina went up 2-0 on a great long range effort from Igor Pletchtenko. The game was tight for a while, with Ukraina missing a boat load of chances. The opposition got one back before half time and it was 2-1 at half. Then Ukraina came out again strong, but missing chance after chance. The opposition scored a late goal to tie it up 2-2 with 5 minutes to go. Ukraina put on the pressure, but just couldn't finish. With 1 minute to go Alex Zaslavsky got in behind the defence but was fouled by the keeper for a penalty shot. Igor Pletchtenko stepped up and buried it. 3-2 Ukraina. Andriy Popowych played well in goal.

Man Of The Match - Bohdan Kaluzny - played very solid at the back, playing simple passes, and marking very tight.

Ukraina played their first game under Alex Zaslavsky as new Ukraina Captain, and what a game it was. Ukraina were very strong right from the start passing the ball extremely well, probably the best of the season. The opposition barely saw the ball the entire match. Ukraina got things going in the first half, when Alex Zaslavsky turned and hammered home a shot from 20 yards into the top corner. Halftime came 1-0 for Ukraina, but in no danger or giving up the lead. Andriy Popwych made a big save in the first half as well. Ukraina started the second half just as good, and Mike Podgorski was on the spot to bury home Ukraina's second goal. Alex Zaslavsky finished things off with a great turn and left foot finish. 3-0 Ukraina. Andriy Popowych got the shutout and played very well.

Ukraina were hit hard by injuries this week, and fielded a very small team with only a few subs, but still came out on top! Igor Plechtchenko got things going by scoring early on before Chris Arnone gave Ukraina a 2-0 lead at halftime. Dmitriy Synyak made his debut for Ukraina in this match playing very well at the back. Mike Podgorski scored to make it 3-0 for Ukraina on a great pass by Alex Zaslavsky before Andriy Panchuk deflected home Ukraina's 4th off a great volley from Bryce Motiuk. Ukraina then lost a few more players to injury, and gave up 3 goals and hung on for the victory. Andriy Popowych played well in goal.

Man Of The Match - Alex Zaslavsky - Worked very hard all game, held the ball up well and defended well towards the end of the game.

Ukraina started the match ok and got off the mark relatively quick with Luke Makischuk scoring the opening goal. Eric Lapointe scored his first of the season not too long after. Ukraina then gave up a poor goal before Alex Zaslavsky scored before half time to give Ukraina a 3-1 lead at halftime. Eric Lapointe got his second of the game early in the second half, a half which Ukraina dominated but could not find the finishing touch. Ukraina gave up another goal, but it was too little too late the game finished 4-2. Andriy Popowych played well in goal.

Ukraina against won big in a league that is unfortunately not strong enough to give us much competition. Alex Zaslavsky got things going by scoring the first two goals, before Luke Makischuk hit home the third. Chris Arnone got one to make it 4-0, before Igor Plechtchenko scored to make it 5-0. Bryce Motiuk scored a nice volley, and Andrij Pawlowsky scored a great turn to round out the scoring. Andriy Popowych played well in goal.

Ukraina played much better this game as they scored early and dominated the game. Ben Makuch, Igor Pletchtchenko, Andriy Panchuk, and Alex Zaslavsky scored for Ukraina. Andriy Popowych played well in goal.

Ukraina played decent this match beating a very inferior team, the score should have been much higher. Luke Makischuk, Ben Makuch and Alex Zaslavsky scored the goals, Andriy Popowych played in goal.

Ukraina were simply terrible and did not deserve anything from this match or tournament. A learning experience for the team.

Ukraina were back into the spring league after a dissapointing tournament, and played very well attacking wise. Sergey Kovalenkov, back from his months in Ukraine, opening the scoring with a long lob over the keeper. Konstantin Privalov scored the second on a great volley. Andriy Pawlowsky scored the third before Bryce Motiuk buried the 4th for Ukraina. The Dragons then staged a comeback scoring a few goals to make it close before Alex Zaslavsky and Mike Podgorski made it 5 and 6 for Ukraina and Andriy Pawlowsky capped his second goal of the game to finish off the Dragons. Andriy Popowych played in goal.

Man Of The Match - Andriy Pawlowsky, finished 2 good goals and pressured very hard.

Ukraina were in for a tough fight but came out on top. Igor got things going with a good goal before Sergey Kovalenkov scored to make it 2-0. Forca pulled one back before Andrew Panchuk scored a great goal. Forca pushed towards to end to get an equalizer but couldn't find the net. Vince Didovsky was sent off with a red card in this game. Andriy Popowych played in goal.

Ukraina again were not sharp and gave up way too many goals. Sergey Kovalenkov is finding is form after returning a few weeks ago scoring a hat trick while Andrew Panchuk continued his brilliant play scoring 2 himself. Thermidor started to pressure towards the end and made the game much closer then it should have been. Mike Podgorski scored to kill off the game and get the win for Ukraina. Andriy Popowych played in goal.

Today was a re awakening of the mighty Ukraina. The team had some words before the game to try and get back on track, and that we did. It was one of the best games in the history of the Club, as we kept the ball for over 80% of the game, with the opposition not have a prayer of scoring a goal. The hottest player in the city Andrew Panchuk got things going with a brilliant left footed strike. Half time it was 1-1. Chris Arnone then found his scoring boots and hit home Ukraina's second goal before Alex Zaslavsky scored a good finish to make it 3-0. Alex made it 4 soon after before Andrew Panchuk scored again to make it Ukraina 5. Chris Arnone scored another near the end to make it 6-0 Ukraina. Andriy Popowych played a solid game in goal earning the shutout to become Ukraina's all time leading shutout man.

Man Of the Match - Today everyone deserves this honour as it was a brilliant game by every player.

Ukraina had a great game today passing the ball around suberbly. Chris Arnone again had 2 goals, while Alex Zaslavsky had 1, and Igor Plechtchenko also had 2 goals. Walter Usyk had a good game in goal.
