Result: 1 - 0 Win
Game Summary:
Ukraina played very well in their first game of the season sticking to our system of play that works wonders for us. The play was mostly in their half, with Ukraina working hard to get chances. 0-0 at halftime, and Ukraina did not let up as Sergey Kovalenkov broke the deadlock off a scramble in the box to finish home our only goal of the match. Andriy Popowych got the shutout in goal.

Result: 2 - 1 Win
Game Summary:
Ukraina today played a big match against the Polish White Eagles. Ukraina came out very strong and organized and the Poles paid dearly when Alex Zaslvasky scored a great header off of a corner to make it 1-0 early in the game. It was to be 2-0 not far after when Scott Makischuk rose to meet another Chris Arnone corner kick to direct home a great header to make it 2-0 Ukraina. The Poles rarely crossed half, and were unable to break down a tough Ukraina defence but were lucky to get a few lucky bounces and scored while a Ukraina player was down injured. The rest of the game was played out with no significant chances as Ukraina shut them down. Andriy Popowych played well in goal.

Igor ran very hard and won many tackles in midfield to help shut down the Poles.

Game Summary:
Ukraina win a big game against rivals Kemptville. Ukraina got things going late in the first half when Alex Zaslavsky tapped home our first goal to end the half 1-0. Bryce Motiuk scored Ukrainas second early in the second half with a cross which was deflected in by a opposing defender. Kemptville made a game of it scoring a few minutes later, but Vince Didkovsky scored a great solo run to make it 3-1 and kill the game off. Kemptville added a late goal. Andriy Popowych played well in goal.

Result: 1 - 0 Win
Game Summary:
Ukraina win their 4th game in a row to go 4 - 0 on the season. Ukraina had the run of the game for the most part having many chances to score but could not put away any goals. Ukraina controlled most of the play passing well and playing strong defensively. The first half ended with the score being 0 - 0. In the second half Ukraina came out strong and kept pressing for the first goal. Finally on a brilliant pass from Igor Plechtchenko, down to the streaming Vince Didkovsky who made a brilliant run, beat a defender and scored on a clinical finish. Ukraina then shut down the other team defensively and came away with another win. Andriy Popowych got his second shutout of the season.

Ottawa Ukraina vs. St Anthony

Result: 1 - 0 Win
Game Summary:
Ottawa Ukraina make history in their brief existence by winning their first ever Ottawa Cup game. The game saw the return of Danilo Popowych to the lineup after a 4 game absence, which added much needed speed up front. Ukraina played well and was passing the ball well, even thought the pitch was very uneven after much rain. Ukraina was having most of the chances early in the game and Igor Plechtchenko converted a quick, sneaky free kick, before the other team could setup any kind of wall, to give Ukraina a 1 goal lead. The play continued back and forth with St. Anthony's having some chances but Andriy Popowych kept the score sheet clean.

Ukraina came out strong in the second half but St. Anthony's started taking the play to Ukraina. The boys played tough in the midfield and well on defense, but could not convert their chances. St. Anthony's pressed for a goal at the end but the team held them off the score sheet. Andrew Popowych played well in goal and recorded his second shootout in as many games.

Igor ran very hard and won many tough tackles in midfield. He also scored the only goal on a brilliant free kick.

Result: 1 - 0 Win
Game Summary:
Another nail biting adventure for Ukraina as they once again grind out a 1-0 win. The first half saw Ukraina not play their best game, but still should have scored on a number of chances including a missed penalty shot. The second half started much like the first, with LCSC Blues working very hard and making it dificult for Ukraina to break them down. Chance after chance was spurned, but true to form, Ukraina never say die and in the 87th minute Luke Makischuk struck home a left footed volley to win the game for Ukraina. Andriy Popowych made some brilliant saves for Ukraina and was the reason they still had the opportunity to win the game

Result: 2 - 0 Win
Game Summary:
Ukraina played the CCA Stallions tonight, the only other undefeated team in the league. This was their toughest test of the summer season so far, Ukraina prevail and go 6 – 0 in the league and take sole position of first place.

Ukraina came out to play and win this game to be in sole possession of first place in the league. The team came out strong and with an attitude that they could win this game, and took the game to the Stallions. Ukraina was playing well in the first half and had the better chances, passing the ball well and sticking to their game plan. In the 20th minute Alex Zaslavsky was able to beat the defender on a great cross from Vince Didkovsky and scored a great goal to give Ukraina the lead at 1 - 0.

Ukraina slacked off a little and gave the CCA Stallions some chances to score but Andriy Popowych made two key saves to keep Ukraina in the lead at the end of the first half.

At the start of the second half the Stallions had Ukraina on their heels but the defense were solid and kept the Stallions at bay. After a while Ukraina started playing their game again and started pressing for a second goal. We had some chances but could not capitalize. Andrew Popowych, once again, kept the team in the game. In the 65th minute Vince Didkovsky ran well down the right wing an finished brilliantly to make the game 2 – 0.

The Stallions kept pressing and Andriy made some key stops throughout the game, specially towards the end to get his 4th shutout in a row. Everyone on the team worked hard and Ottawa Ukraina deserved this win and first place in the league.

Andriy made some key saves in the first half to keep the score 1 - 0. Also made some crucial saves in the second half at the end of the game.

Result: 3 - 1 Loss
Game Summary:
Simply said, Ukraina competed against the top team in the Premier league in this cup encounter. Ukraina went up 1-0 early on off a typical Scott Makischuk goal, but were quickly hit back 1-1. Ukraina were in the game most of the time but a few good goals by Capital United ended the game 3-1 Ukraina. This was a special game in the fact that we played against the best team in the city at the moment, and were competitive, and showed we belonged in that category. In no time Ukraina will be in the top division with the rest of them. Andriy Popowych played well in goal, stopping a penalty shot.

Result: 2 - 1 Win
Game Summary:
Ukraina were without key players Sergey Kovalenkov who is gone for the year back to Ukraina, Igor Plechtchenko who was with his wife having their first child, and Scott Makischuk who is still away with the Army. New Signing Graeme Webber was on hand to play a very solid game. Ukraina went up 1-0 on a great shot by Andriy Panchuk and lead 1-0 at halftime. Ukraina then got another one off a great pass by Chris Arnone to Luke Makischuk who slide home a great finish. Ukraina gave up an unlucky goal near the end, but the win was never in doubt. Andriy Popowych played well in goal.

Result: 4 - 1 Win
Game Summary:
Ukraina continue to be the first place team in their division by beating CCA Printwell by a 4 – 1 score. Ottawa Ukraina remain undefeated in the summer season with a record of 8 wins and 0 losses.

The team came out quick to start the game and pressed early for a goal and Scott Makischuk scored in the 8th minute and then he added another one in the 13th minute. Ukraina were leading 2 -0 but then a breakdown in the defensive zone made the score 2-1. Ukraina did not let up and Chris Arnone scored a great goal to make it 3-1 Ukraina. Printwell did not have many chances to score as the defense was playing a solid game and Andriy Popowych made some good saves. Ukraina was a bit unlucky and hit 2 cross bars and a post. The game remained 3-1 at the end of the first half.

In the second half Ukraina came out strong again by passing the ball well and sticking to their game plan. In the 77th minute Alex Zaslavsky put the game away by scoring a penalty kick. Again the defensive line played solid without giving Printwell and good scoring chances. In the last minute Printwell was awarded a penalty kick but Andriy Popowych was up to the task and made a good save to keep the game 3-1.

Scott scored 2 nice goals early in the game and had some other good chances. He controled the ball very well up front.

Result: 6 - 1 Win
Game Summary:
Ukraina travelled a long way to Kemptville to face our perenial rivals in a very important game Ukraina needed to win to keep our title hopes on target. We started things off well, with new father Igor Plechtchenko scoring a cracker of a free kick in the 19th minute to give us a 1-0 lead.

Halftime saw the same scorline. Ukraina came out slow at the restart and Kemptville were on hand to punish with a goal to tie it up at 1-1. Ukraina then stepped up to another gear, when Scott Makischuk layed off a great pass to Vince Didkovsky who hammered home a brilliant shot to make it 2-1. Chris Arnone then scored a deflection straight off of a corner before Graeme Webber scored to make it 4-1. Andrij Pawlowsky then stepped up and scored a great header off of a corner kick to give Ukraina a 5-1 lead and Luke Makischuk scored a good strike to round out the scoring. Andriy Popowych played a great game in goal.

Result: 2 - 0 Win
Game Summary:
Ukraina win another game on route to winning the League Championship and go 10-0 on the season. This was a tougher game then expected, with Rivals White Eagles coming out and playing hard. Ukraina went up 1-0 on a good pass from Scott Makischuk who found Alex Zaslavsky streaking through the defence, and slotted home a left footed shot. The game was tight after that, with no real threat either way and the game was scrappy and not a lot of time given on the ball.

The second half started with much of the same, but Ukraina were then awarded a penalty when Alex Zaslavsky was brought down in the box, who stepped up and calmly stroked home his second of the game and career leading 67th goal. Andriy Popowych was solid in goal, picking up his 6th shutout of the season to make his career leading 16.5 shutouts.

Worked up and down the pitch all game, breaking up plays, coordinating a lot from the middle of the pitch.

Result: 8 - 2 Win
Game Summary:
Ukraina were devastated by injury, vacation, suspension today and in a massive game where we needed the 3 points with only 2 substitutes. That didn't stop the mighty Ukraina who as usual, fought hardest when their backs were against the wall. Ukraina came out flying in this game on 2 quick goals by Scott Makischuk then one by Roman Zakaluzny all before the 15 minute mark. We seemed to be cruising along but Lynwood fought back and scored 2 goals in succession to make it 3-2 Ukraina. But the tides turned once again when Alex Zaslavsky scored a great penalty and Scott Makischuk added 2 more goals before the half to give him 4 in the game and make it 6-2 Ukraina at Half.
After half time Ukraina settled down, passed the ball around, players moved positions to give experience playing other places, and Danilo Popowych popped up and hammered home a great strike to make it 7-2 before Scott Makischuk set a Ukraina Club record by notching his 5th goal of the game. Andriy Popowych played well in goal. Ukraina official clinch promotion to division 2 after this win.

Result: 3 - 0 Win
Game Summary:
Ukraina needed a win today to keep pace to try and win their first outdoor league on way to promotion, and did not dissapoint. Although the first half was a drab affair, with both teams working hard and few chances created, halftime came with a score of 0-0. Ukraina regrouped and came out strong in the second half, going up 1-0 on a fantastic strike from Igor Plechtchenko. Scott Makischuk was next after a superb turn beating a defender, lined up his shot and hammered home his 10th of the season to make it 2-0 Ukraina. Captain Vince Didkovsky filling in for injured Alex Zaslavsky, lead the team brilliantly and scored the 3rd goal as he slotted home his 5th of the season to round out the scoring. Andriy Popowych got his 7th shutout of the season playing very well in goal.

Game Summary:
All the chips were on the table, if Ukraina win, they are league champions for the first time in the all important summer season. Ukraina were without many players due to injury, and work. Ukraina were with Scott Makischuk, Alex Zaslavsky, Walter Usyk, Bryce Motiuk, Dma Synyak, Mike Podgorski, Sergey Kovalenkov, Graeme Webber, Antoine Sylvester, Roman Zakaluzny for this match. The game was marked with the return of brothers Morgan and Matty Kenny, along with Alex Beale. Ukraina and the Stallions fought hard for the first half, with chances for both teams being squandered. It was a tight affair, with it being 0-0 at half time. Early in the first half, a questionable goal was scored by the Stallions in the 55th minute which looked offside but the referee let play continue and it was 1-0 Stallions. True Ukrainian Courage took over, and we started to get at them attacking, and playing some good soccer. Igor Plechtchenko's free kick was saved by the keeper, but Chris Arnone was on hand to nip home a huge goal for Ukraina to tie things up at 1-1 in the 66th minute. Then, the winner, the championship goal was scored in the 76th, when Danilo Popowych controlled the ball, and unleashed a volley from 20 yards which found the bottom corner. The game ended 2-1, Ukraina are League Champions!!!!!! Morgan Kenny played a brilliant game in goal.

Game Summary:
In a game that Ukraina needed nothing from being champions and promoted already, they struggled against a good team falling 1-0. Ukraina had their chances to win the game, missing 3-4 easy chances, but luck was not on our side today. Andriy Popowych played well in goal.
